Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Directorate of Medicine for an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated Ward Sister to join our busy cardiology/endocrine team within the Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend.

Excellent leadership skills are essential for the position. The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach, an understanding of cardiology and also gained some experience within cardiology. Excellent communication skills are a prerequisite for the role.

Band 6 responsibilities within  a cardiac/endocrine ward responsible for leading the shift, supporting junior staff, ensuring flow through the unit. Undertaking PADR's, attendance management. Supporting the ward manager with Audits, developing action plans.
