Previous experience in a outpatients setting is desirable. We pride ourselves in delivering safe, high quality care to ensure the patients experience is a positive one.

Main duties of the job

You will be expected to participate and assist with hysteroscopy,  gynaecological outpatients, rapid access, colposcopy and urogynae clinics and more.

You will liaise closely with the  Band 6 and 7  to ensure efficient and effective bi-directional communication, in order to deliver a high quality service to the patient and their relatives. You will also contribute to the professional development of junior staff within the department and enhance their skills as a role model. We work a variety of weekday hours depending on clinical activity. Occasional weekend work and cross site cover  is required at times of high acuity.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Once your pre-employment checks have been completed you will be contacted by Recruitment to arrange your start date which will be in line with one of our Corporate Inductions.

Following your Corporate Induction you will be expected to attend the Trust’s 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics.  The programme is full-time (please email [email protected] if this is problematic) and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
