An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join the Speech and Language Therapy service based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King’s Lynn.
This position will enable you to develop skills in the assessment and management of acquired communication difficulties with a range of conditions within supportive and friendly teams. The job will be split between the stroke and non stroke service.
You will develop your dysphagia competencies, including skills in videofluoroscopy, under supervision.
We strive to deliver high quality care in line with current evidence base and are committed to providing regular supervision and CPD.
To provide dysphagia therapy for patients across acute wards and stroke services at QEH under supervision of specialist speech and language therapists and to develop skills in assessing dysphagia.
To work with stroke patients in both the acute, outpatients and community settings as required by senior SLT stroke specialists, including their own homes and residential/ nursing homes.
To ensure a multi- professional approach is carried out in the implementation of patient care across acute wards and all stroke services.
