An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with relevant skills, experience and knowledge to join the Corporate Nursing Safeguarding Team at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital NHS Trust (QEHKL) on a permanent basis.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be an autonomous practitioner who will offer specialist knowledge, advice and supervision to QEHKL colleagues who are working  within the hospital. You will work closely with the Named Professional to deliver the Trust's statutory requirements and safeguarding agenda.

You will be working as part of an integrated children' s and adults safeguarding team and provide support and advice to practitioners within the Trust who are dealing with cases of actual or suspected abuse of children and adults.

Provide safeguarding supervision to staff in line with the Trust safeguarding supervision policy. Actively participate in the delivery of the safeguarding training strategy and ongoing development of safeguarding children and adults training.

Participate in the ongoing development of collaborative working in relation to safeguarding children and adults with other agencies.

Contribute to ensuring that the Trust meets its statutory responsibilities in relation to Section 11 of The Children Act 2004, Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 2003 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
