Radiology Booking Supervisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Radiology department for a Clerical Supervisor

We are currently seeking a keen, enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly organised individual with excellent communications skills to supervise our current team of Appointments staff.

The successful post holder will supervise the administration team and be an effective member of the Department by providing a high standard of clerical services.

The post holder will demonstrate excellent communication, operational and interpersonal skills. They will be responsible for supervising and managing staff, prioritising work, monitoring breach dates correctly and booking complex procedures for imaging in line with DM01 Diagnostic, 18-week referral to treatment and cancer targets.

Main duties of the job

To ensure the smooth and effective day to day running of the Radiology Office Team To manage all diagnostic Waiting List/Patient Tracking lists and booking diaries to ensure appointments/admissions do not breach waiting time targets in all specialties, liaising with the PACS Manager to ensure compliance with national targets Ensure all appointments are booked in line with the requirements outlined in the Directorate and Trust policies. To be fully competent in all RIS system administration processes To work in conjunction with the PACS Systems Manager and PACS Administrator to identify functionality in RIS and PACS systems to enhance departmental workflow. To promote and maintain high standards of data held on the RIS and PACS systems and effect change to working practices within Radiology. To interrogate the RIS and PACS systems to provide statistical information for use in departmental audits, financial returns, trust activity information and HSCIC returns. To supervise and support teams, plan work schedules and rotas ensuring an effective and quality service and a positive patient experience is provided. Work with PACS team to ensure RIS training and updates are supported Ensure all appointments are booked in line with the requirements outlined in the Directorate and Trust policies.
