Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the C&V Pathology IT team. If successful you will join a small team who support specialist digital systems within Pathology covering a wide variety of IT specialties.

The post is being offered as a permanent position- 37.5 hours per week based at The University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, however the post holder will work across all Cardiff and Vale UHB sites as required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

• Providing application support to the Pathology specific systems
• Extracting data from various systems as required
• Providing day to day general IT support to Pathology Staff
• Helping with troubleshooting connectivity issues with specialist equipment
• To liaise with the LHB IT services as part of any changes required by Pathology (new installs, new equipment etc)

To provide front-line IM & T support in order that the analytical processes of the departments can operate smoothly and efficiently across the 3 laboratory sites – UHW, Llandough and Velindre.
