To work as part of multi-skilled team in busy environment at Medway eye unit.
Medway Eye Unit are looking for a clerical officer for their busy MTW Ophthalmology Service based at Medway Hospital.
The role involves the booking of inpatient & day case procedures, outpatient appointments, answering telephone calls and monitoring and booking from waiting lists in line with Trust policy, booking patients in chronological order.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in this varied role. You will need excellent communication skills and be dedicated to providing an efficient and effective service. You will work closely with members of the ophthalmology [both clinical & administrative] team and also other members of the CAU team to ensure patients are seen in a timely manner. You will be IT literate, able to meet deadlines and have an attention to detail. Knowledge of All scripts and ERS would be highly desirable but are not essential, as training will be provided. You must be methodical and organised in your approach and thrive on the opportunity to make a genuine difference.
