An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Medical Secretary within our Acute Medicine and Geriatrics directorate at Maidstone Hospital.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Secretary who can provide a competent and effective Secretarial Service to Consultants and their teams within the Acute medicine and Geriatrics unit.
You will have exceptional secretarial skills , and knowledge of all Microsoft packages. You should demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, be a team player, be self-motivated, able to prioritise a busy workload, work to deadlines and have a flexible approach to your duties.

By the nature of the duties, the post holder will be required to maintain strict confidentiality and will be expected to deal with patients, carers, relatives, medical staff and other visitors within the Division in person and/or in writing, with courtesy and discretion at all times
The post holder must be able to work with limited supervision, use own initiative, keep to strict deadlines and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Previous experience working as a Medical Secretary within the health sector would be beneficial but not essential you should have knowledge of office equipment and systems along with word/processing/typing or equivalent and knowledge of Medical Terminology.
