We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join Alder Hey. As a Multi-Disciplinary Co-Ordinator/Data Tracker, you will be responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative support to the Multi-disciplinary teams, co-ordinating and facilitating the meetings and tracking suspected and diagnosed cancer patients through their pathways.In particular, you will be responsible for the accurate production of agendas and minutes and producing accurate data tracking and escalating where necessary to manager to maintain pathways.To succeed we are looking for someone who:Is committed to delivering excellent patient service;Has previous clerical/administration experience;Can accurately type live at meetingsHas strong IT skills in relation to Microsoft packages including word/excel and Microsoft,Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines;Has previous experience of working in the NHS;

Knowledge of the Somerset Cancer Register would be beneficial.

Main duties and Responsibilities

Communication Skills:.Ensures that appropriate methods of communication are used egvideoconferencing across the Network, NHS Net accounts and agreed MDT  proformas which will include comprehensive clinical information..Receive notification of all newly diagnosed Children’s cancers to the Principal Treatment Centre to ensure timely discussion at the MDT..Liaise with the Principal Treatment Centre TYA to ensure age range discussed appropriately there..Communicate with a range of clinical and non-clinical staff concerning progress against quality standards, for example, waiting times and patient treatment schedules..Provide a point of contact for health and social care professionals for all cancer referrals of the specified groups..Develop and maintain robust and effective communication channels with all departments and individuals relevant to the specialty both internally and externally.

Analysis and Judgement Skills:.Must be able to analyse information from the internal data base and information received from external sources..Work with MDT leads in identifying problem areas within individual pathways escalating concerns in a timely and responsible fashion.

Planning and Organizational Skills:.Secures agreement to the timing of the MDT meeting..Organize venue and teleconferencing equipment if required.Collect and circulate discussion lists..Maintain MDT and attendance records..Initiate and develop methods to promote the efficient running of the MDT..Under the direction of the Lead Clinician and Oncology Unit Manager assist in the preparation and submission of evidence against the National Cancer Peer Review Measures.
