Assist the registered nurse in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursingcare.Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients andtheir relatives/carers.To practice competently, you must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities requiredfor lawful, safe and effective practice without direct supervision. You mustacknowledge the limits of your professional competence and only undertake practiceand accept responsibilities for those activities in which you are competent; thisincludes the use of medical equipment.

ClinicalWith appropriate training undertake clinical skills

Health and SafetyTo promote, monitor and maintain health and safety of self and others within theworkplace as per Trust Health & Safety Policy.To promote security of self, others and property within the work place as per Trustpolicy.To use in a proper and safe manner the equipment/facilities provided and report any concernsTo refrain from the wilful misuse of or interference with anything providedwhich might endanger you or others.To report all equipment hazards and defects and take out of use.To report all accidents and near misses and ensure that datix are completed

To maintain and promote Trust policy of safe disposal of hazardous and nonhazardous waste
