There is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, innovative Physiotherapist with high-level team skills to join the Acute paediatric physiotherapy Service. The successful applicant will be joining the multi-disciplinary service, offering a unique opportunity to influence, shape and develop the service.
The post is permanent, part time (21 hours per week), and provides a service across the Swansea Bay University Health Board areas in a variety of settings.
We are looking for a Physiotherapist with an excellent clinical knowledge and experience of working within children, young people and their families.
You will be required to work with high level of autonomy managing a complex caseload and should be able to demonstrate a strong ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for the physiotherapy care of urgent and planned admissions of children including those with additional learning needs, multiple health concerns and complex social circumstances. There will also be opportunity for an outpatient caseload held for rheumatology and orthopaedics.
The post holder will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with children, young people, families, team colleagues and the wider systems, offering a broad range of interventions to include 1:1 as well as group interventions.
You will have the opportunity to supervise and mentor members of the team as well as receive supervision and mentoring in your role.
We offer both departmental and personal CPD time to support your development and are committed to the development of evidenced based practice, research and clinical audit. You will be supported in attending relevant professional networking meetings, interest groups and relevant CPD opportunities.
