Job overview

Our Arranging Support Team Broker will liaise directly with clients, carers, providers and care management staff whilst coordinating and negotiating packages of care to obtain the best care whilst ensuring value for money.

They will also have a key part to play in ensuring they raise contracts for the services swiftly and accurately, and when required provide advice and guidance to the Social Care Team members.

Main duties of the job

  • Receive care service  requisitions from care management teams through the PARIS system
  • Clarify service requirements with care management staff, clients and providers to ensure clarity of expectations
  • Develop an understanding and awareness of all the resources available to meet the needs of the clients of Torbay, including commissioned and community services
  • Raise individual service contracts for all services arranged
  • Review contracts in place and ensure contracts are ended, voided or amended in an appropriate timely manner
  • Participate in other shared team responsibilities according to the service requirements
  • Ensure clients receive the most appropriate support in a timely manner, whilst adhering the Trust’s contractual obligations

To develop an understanding and awareness of all the resources available to meet the needs of the clients of Torbay, including commissioned and community services.

To take advice from the Arranging Support Team Lead and care management staff in instances of requests for variations to the care packages being directly requested by clients, their cars or providers
