Main duties of the job
As a Ward Manager’s Assistant, your role will be:
- To support the ward manager and nursing team as directed with administrative support,
- To provide a full and comprehensive administrative support for the ward manager, this may include meetings, bookings and trainings and organisation of development of staff.
- To be highly organised as well as being flexible and possessing the ability to work as an integral team member
- Motivated and dynamic personality ready to use initiative and innovation
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to use IT skills and computers

- You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be friendly and approachable with good telephone manner.
- Able to use IT facilities for patient's information retrieval.
- Problem solving skills and ability to use own initiative to identify improvements and to use negotiating skills to implement changes
- Excellent Interpersonal skills allowing effective communication between all internal and external service users
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and stay calm under pressure
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
