A great opportunity has arisen for a Ward Clerk to join our team at Evesham Community Hospital. We are seeking to appoint a Ward Clerk for a busy 19 bedded ward.
The post is for 22.5 hours over 3 days, working on Monday, Thursday and Friday. However, the postholder should be flexible to cover other days if required.
As a Ward Clerk you will be the first point of contact for families and visitors by greeting them to the Ward.

Responsible for answering the ward telephone, admitting, and discharging patients on the hospital computer systems and ensuring all patient demographic information is accurate.
Scanning and filing patient notes
General clerical duties to support any of the wards and wider hospital team as required.
Ordering patient transport
You will need to be able to work flexibly and apply a methodical approach to a varying workload in what can be a fast paced, pressurised environment.
You should be self-motivated, have excellent communication/interpersonal skills and have the ability to work on your own as well as part of a busy team where the work can be deadline driven and very much enjoy working in a clinical environment.
Previous clerical experience is desirable, administrative and keyboard skills would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will need an excellent telephone manner and must be able to deal efficiently with members of the public and all disciplines of hospital staff.
Support in covering the main reception desk of the hospital.
Support in covering the Radiology reception desk of the hospital.
