Westmorland Tea Bar Meet and Greet Volunteer, positions available at Westmorland General Hospital. Volunteers play a very important role in the NHS. Working in a range of settings and providing a variety of services alongside paid staff, volunteers are often a key part of patient services.

Main duties of the job

Main purpose of role: To assist in the provision of a welcoming and accommodating hospital environment and to support the café, food and drink service. Main tasks/overview of responsibilities

To provide guidance and way finding to patients, visitors and staff around the main hospital site. To assist with the transportation of patients to and from appointments across the hospital site. To assist patients in obtaining basic information about the hospital and their appointment. To assist in the hospital environment ensuring it’s equipped to accommodate patients and visitors.
