At United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust (ULHT) we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Therapies Management team in the role of Therapies Practice Development and Quality Lead.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the quality and range of learning and development opportunities for all staff within Therapies to ensure safe and effective patient care and practice.

You will also lead the coordination and monitoring of the quality of our services alongside our Therapy site leads and Professional Leads as part of the Therapies Clinical Business unit.

You will lead a small team to support the delivery of the team and Clinical Business Unit objectives.

We currently have three Practice Development clinicians (AfC B7) that support Dietetics, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. These team members work collaboratively with our clinicians in specialised roles to support our workforce

Main duties of the job

The candidate will support and be an integral member of the Therapies Management Team. the main duties of:

  • Responsible for supporting and monitoring, delivery and quality of clinical supervision, appraisals and development plans.
  • Monitoring performance and working with the Senior Management to implement robust improvement plans.
  • To support the provision and monitoring of the quality of clinical services
  • To be responsible for coordination of reviews/dissemination of information .
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of changes.
  • To represent the service/organisation/professions on workstreams pathway/service development groups which have a Trust or inter-agency focus.
  • Provides robust and exemplary leadership
  • Acts as the named representative and point of contact for the Clinical Business Unit on the sites.
  • Attends monthly Business, Professional and Speciality Governance meetings.
  • Ensures the accurate collection and timely submission of complex statistical data, as required
  • Leads the coordination and delivery of governance activities that falls within the  the role.
  • Responsible for supporting clinical services to patients.
  • Responsible for  effective training and development
  • Plan and coordinates the under-graduate education of students in the service.
  • To critically engage in research activity
