There Is currently an opportunity within Theatres Recovery (PACU) at The Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust for an ODP / RN. We are committed to providing high quality care to patients, and are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our existing team to support the on-going Quality Improvement Programme.

Main duties of the job

Main Theatres consists of 11 operating theatres and an 11 bay Recovery (PACU), there is also a further 5 Day Theatres and Recovery bays. Surgical specialties include General, Colo-rectal, Breast, Urology, Gynaecology, Ophthalmic, Orthopaedic & Trauma, Plastics, Max Fax, and ENT. As Vascular and Arterial hub for the region, in addition to a 24 hour Emergency Theatre, with also provide a second on call team at nights and weekends.

We would welcome enquires from enthusiastic practitioners. If you are newly qualified Preceptorship will be provided with an induction programme to support your knowledge and skills required for the post

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £27.50 (standard) or £55.50 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of £16 per year applies.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
