Join us on our Team at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH)  and learn about the conditions we treat and the innovative treatment and care we provide for children and young people from UK and around the world.

Our multidisciplinary clinical team will give exciting talks and teaching on what we do and the advancements our nursing teams are part of. Gain insight into our unique directorate and the underpinning practical skills through lectures and hands on participation in simulation displays.

Learn about GOSH and our department by meeting our teams and touring our units, where our unit leads will also be on hand to discuss nursing opportunities and vacancies. You will learn about the amazing education, training and development opportunities available to our staff.

We welcome applications from paediatric nurses looking to move into a dedicated speciality or  adult nurses looking to transfer their skills into a paediatric environment.

Main duties of the job

  • To work as a skilled member of the nursing team, to provide a high standard of holistic family centered care to the children, young people and families.
  • Ability to promote family centered care and establish good relationships with children, young people and their families
  • To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team.
  • To be able to take charge of the ward in the absence of senior nursing staff following achievement of required competence.
  • To be familiar with and adopt the principles of the NHS Chief Nursing Officers vision for Compassion in Practice (NHS Commissioning Board Dec 2012).
