Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust (NHFT) has a  purpose built inpatient rehabilitation  mental health unit for adults in Northampton at Berrywood Hospital.

We are currently looking for Staff Nurses (Band 5) to join an outstanding Mental Health Trust at Meadowbank Rehabilitation Unit.  Meadowbank is a 12 bedded inpatient mental health rehabilitation unit for adult males with severe and complex mental health issues who are or would otherwise be high users of in-patient and community services. Meadowbank is an integral part of the Community Mental Health Recovery Pathway.

The team are focussed on working together and in co-production with patients to achieve the best possible outcomes to enable patients to progress towards a higher level of independence.

You will be a pivotal part of a multi-disciplinary team which includes a Psychiatrist, Occupational Therapists, Psychologist, a Registered General Nurse and support staff.

An interest in or understanding of rehabilitation frameworks is highly desirable with an emphasis on occupation and recovery focussed interventions.

We have an expectation that you will be able to work together, take responsibility, be authentic and embrace change; we will support you to develop these leadership behaviours so that you become an exceptional member of your team delivering outstanding compassionate care to our patients.

You are expected to support senior nurses and deputies  in their absence which will involve making independent clinical decisions.

We  expect you to be physically fit enough to complete our PMVA course (teamwork) and undertake a refresher each year.   This is a post which requires you to rotate between day and night duty.
