Specialty Doctor – Paediatric Education Fellowship
We are delighted to offer this exciting new post that will enable to appointee to gain invaluable teaching experience. This post will offer opportunities to candidates to gain practical experience of delivering teaching sessions and learn latest evidence based medical education practices. The post holder will participate in exclusively teaching and teaching-related activities during the daytime and that clinical work will be restricted to mainly on call work at registrar level on a 1 in 8 rota with prospective cover in acute children's services based in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.
Based in North West Wales, an area of outstanding natural beauty, encompassing Snowdonia Natural Park and miles of coastline and sandy beaches, a veritable playground.
Located close to larger urban areas in North West England, with easy transport links.
The department currently has 8.6 WTE consultants and we run a Service Week model. One of the consultants chooses to contribute to the second on call rota. The tier 1 rota consists of GP trainees, FY2, FY3 and stand alone doctors. The second rota consists of non-training permanent staff grade doctors.
