Barts Health NHS Trust has a vision to be a high performing group of NHS hospitals, renowned for excellence and innovation and providing safe and compassionate care to our patients in east London and beyond.
The Radiology department in Newham University Hospital is a busy, modern and well equipped department with multiple fully digital general X-ray rooms (DR), a Fluoroscopy screening room, multiple general ultrasound rooms, two state-of-the-art CT scanners (equipped with all the needed post-processing software: CT colon, CT coronary, CT PA, CT angio, etc), a new state-of-the-art wide-bore 1.5 T MRI scanner (Second 3T MRI currently under installation), state of the art digital mammography unit equipped with vacuum biopsy module, and multiple maternity ultrasound units. We are also managing some extra-mobile units and satellite x-ray hub at SGC and Shrewsbury road.
We are a completely paperless department with a cross-trust hospital information system (HIS), picture archiving and communication system (PACS), radiology information system (RIS) and voice recognition (VR) system for reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for dynamic individuals with the appropriate skill-set to join a first class multi-disciplinary team providing the full range of specialist services to the majority of East London and beyond in a progressive London teaching hospital environment.
