An opportunity has arisen for a specialty doctor just like you, seeking an alternative to the daily grind that only big cities can offer, to instead come and work in a friendly Emergency Department in Yeovil, Somerset. This can be a permanent or fixed term position, part time or full time, we are very adaptable, working on a fully flexible, self-rostered, annualised rota. country.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, our diverse patient-mix of approximately 70,000 attendances per year (both adult and children) and responsibilities as an accredited Trauma Unit provide varied and interesting clinical challenges.
A bespoke development programme is tailored to each ED clinical team member’s needs. This allows our team members to achieve acute and emergency care competencies, in line with the RCEM higher specialty training curriculum. This allows development of emergency care skills, support progress onto our CESR programme (this is not a CESR dedicated post), or improve evidence for specialty training applications. Relevant life support courses are paid for by the trust, outside your study budget. All of these activities are supported through a purpose built education and clinical skills centre within the hospital.
