We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist with stroke and Neuro experience you will not want to miss out on the opportunity to join an experienced Occupational Therapy Team working across the inpatient ,intermediate care and early supported discharge services as a Band 6 based at Warrington Hospital. The post would be suitable for an occupational Therapist who has a passion for working within stroke and neurology and who enjoys working as a part of a large multi-disciplinary team and be able to demonstrate a desire to actively participate in all aspects of this specialist role
The successful candidate must be an effective team player with excellent communication and organisational skills and have a passion for working in the Stroke and Neurology team. The main duties will include taking responsibility to manage a personal clinical caseload entailing the assessment, treatment and discharge planning of stroke and other Neuro patients within the in patient stroke ward, specialist intermediate care bed base and in their own homes as part of the Early supported discharge service. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, flexibility and time management skills in order to work within the demands of a busy service .The successful post holder will be expected to provide supervision and support to junior members of the therapies team and engage actively in quality improvement initiatives, service development and professional & personal development. You will be well supported by a Senior Occupational therapy team with regular clinical supervision and training in the role .The successful candidate should be a car driver with access to a vehicle that can be used for business use
