The Dermatology Department at The Rotherham Foundation Trust is a dedicated outpatient unit comprising of Doctors, Nurse Consultant, Specialist Nurses, Staff Nurses and Band 3 Healthcare support workers. We are an innovative department, constantly evolving our service to meet the demands of our population and the current climate.

The unit consists of outpatient consulting suites, skin surgery theatre, laser and treatment rooms and phototherapy units. We offer nurse led clinics in drug monitoring, skin surgery, axillary Botox, phototherapy, general treatments, cosmetic camouflage and health education.

Our services run Monday to Saturday including bank holidays, with evening clinics throughout the week.

We may sometimes run clinics on Sundays if the service demands this.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic Registered Nurse with a compassionate, caring nature who will focus on delivering high quality nursing care. This will involve working closely with all members of the Dermatology team, working in the various nurse-led clinics and providing expert advice, information and education to people with dermatology skin conditions.

You must be able to work autonomously, organise your workload effectively and adapt to, as well as drive change at local level. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be dealing with patients on a one to one basis, as well as working within the multi-disciplinary team.

You will have preferably had at least 2 years recent experience of working as a Band 5 staff nurse within a Dermatology Department. Experience of running nurse-led clinics would also be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a minor skin surgery course and non-medical prescribing.
