Are you an experienced paediatric nurse with a passion for education and high-quality care?

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen, to expand our education team within Children’s Services to support and educate staff on the Children’s and Young Persons Unit (CYPU) and the Paediatric Emergency Department at Bradford Royal Infirmary.  We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is highly motivated and committed to join out innovative team.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and coaching skills to ensure a supportive learning environment for all.  As an integral member of the CYPU Education Team, your responsibilities will include;

  • Supporting and providing clinical education to both registered and non-registered staff
  • Participate the delivery of ad hoc ward based training programmes including simulation training
  • Assist in planning and delivering an NQN induction programme including follow-up study sessions.
  • Plan and deliver an on-going education program for internal staff and students.
  • You will be required to have exceptional organisational skills, be highly supportive and approachable with the ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team, to deliver high standards of evidence-based training and quality nursing care to the children and families within our service.
  • Flexibility to work clinically due to increased ward pressures or staff sickness.
  • Staff support and development through appraisals.
