This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse who wants to develop clinical knowledge, leadership skills and experience as a Ward Manager.

Huntington's disease is a rare, inherited disease that causes the progressive breakdown (degeneration) of nerve cells in the brain. Huntington's disease has a wide impact on a person's functional abilities and usually results in movement, thinking (cognitive) and psychiatric disorders. This is a challenging but immensely rewarding area of mental health nursing to be successful in this role, you will need to be enthusiastic, forward thinking and emotionally resilient. You will be working within a supportive multidisciplinary team (MDT), caring for patients with a rare and degenerative condition.

You will receive comprehensive training, including specific training around the care and management of people with Huntington's Disease. You will also be able to develop your skills in both mental health and physical health nursing due to the complex nature of Huntington's Disease.
