Job overview

The post holder is responsible for the assessment of care needs and the  development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting and monitoring of standards.

The post holder will support in the management responsibility for a nursing team and will have specific responsibility for providing professional support and specialist nursing advice.

The post holder will be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care and will be designated to take charge of the ward on a regular basis.

Ward 12 are looking for an experienced nurse who is wanting to progress in their nursing career.

Ward 12 is a 38 bedded mixed sex Older Persons Medical ward who prides itself on its high patient care standards and team working ethos.

The successful candidate will be able to confidently manage and provide inspirational leadership and encourage good communication through MDT working to improve patient experience and reduce Length of stay.

The successful candidate will be supported to gain the necessary managerial skills to fulfil the role, supported by the band 7. T

We encourage the sharing of ideas and different approaches in order to improve patient care. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the continuous development of the ward and enhance patient-centred care.
