We are looking for someone to join us to support the operational management team in Maternity and Gynaecology

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrable management and operational experience. It is essential you haven an understanding of the challenges and opportunities of the NHS, which is essential to the role.

You will have proven experience in delivery of change and a sound understanding of NHS targets and the current pressures.

Main duties of the job

Brief overview of responsibilities:

  • Line Management and budget holder for the Administrative function across the Business Unit
  • Co-ordinating the delivery of key performance management targets
  • Lead on specific areas of service development and transformation, supporting the General Manager (and wider team), ensuring proposals and solutions concerning key national and local initiatives are taken forward.
  • The Business Unit supports the delivery of services in Maternity, Gynaecology and Sexual Health/HIV.  Whilst this is a full time role, consideration will be given to those who want to work slightly less than full time.  Please ensure that you have the support of your line manager for a secondment before you apply.
  • The Service Manager is a key member of the Business Unit and is responsible for supporting the senior management team over the range of their responsibilities
