We are looking for a dynamic Service Manager to join our leadership team working across sexual health, diabetes, health psychology and weight management services.

You will be joining a team of three service managers working across the portfolio. You will oversee the effective day-to-day running of services, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care, whilst managing budgets, staffing, and operational targets. You will collaborate closely with teams to drive service improvements, manage resources, and ensure compliance with NHS standards and policies.

We are looking for someone with a particular interest in using performance data (qualitative and quantitative) to help us design and deliver transformation and innovation.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for:

  • the professional and operational leadership and improvement of services/sites within portfolio.
  • the effectiveness of the services, ensuring the delivery of high quality, patient centred, integrated, cost-effective care across the locality/service, having leadership responsibility for the team/teams.
  • the provision, co-ordination, and development of services, interpreting relevant SOPs, policies and pathways and working with the General Manager to promote and foster partnership working across the Derbyshire system with commissioners, Primary Care Networks and other key stakeholders.
  • operational and professional leadership (within a multi-disciplinary team) to the relevant direct reports, clinical teams and team leaders and be responsible for the development and implementation of quality and performance monitoring arrangements.
  • effectively applying and leading a matrix approach across the organisation when developing quality outcomes, the core capabilities, knowledge, and attitudes when considering care delivery.
  • overseeing complex operational issues including workforce planning, change management and workforce engagement.
