An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the Women’s Secure Blended Service and the Forensic CAMHS Team at Ardenleigh. The successful applicant will join both already established Occupational Therapy Services. These services provide assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and aftercare to our service users with complex mental health needs. Birmingham is culturally diverse city; as a team we are looking to provide OT services that are compassionate, inclusive, and committed to our service users and staff to ensure excellent care. The role will require the individual to work autonomously and use initiative to develop our shared areas such as the shop, library and hub to make these safe spaces for our service users to get their needs met, enhance their recovery and provide educational and work opportunities. The hub space is a new space we aim to develop into a working internet coffee shop for our service users and staff. This is a really exciting opportunity for the staff member to develop this space alongside service users with the aim of supporting service users’ recovery, provide a space for education and build skills such as resilience, time management and communication.
