We are delighted to be looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and adaptable Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our thriving Staff Psychology Team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust.

Some training or placement experience with staff patients in acute hospital settings would be desirable, along with familiarity of psychological assessment and formulation in health care, as well as planning and delivering psychological interventions to individuals and teams. An interest and some experience around training and teaching would be of benefit, but there will be many opportunities for ongoing development and support in key areas within this supportive team. The base will be in York, but travel across the Trust sites such as Scarborough, Bridlington, Malton and Selby will be required.

Can you bring your passion and skills to contribute to our goal to positively promote psychological wellbeing to all staff across our organisation?

If so, we look forward to receiving your application.

You will be supported by colleagues in the Staff Wellbeing Psychology Team, which includes our Consultant Psychology Lead, as well as the wider department of Psychological Medicine, which includes the provision of regular high quality clinical supervision and management support, alongside other forms of continuing professional development

The post will involve providing individual psychological assessment, formulation and treatment to staff patients, and providing varied interventions to support staff teams throughout the Trust.
