Our award winning HFMA Finance Team of the Year 2020 is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Senior Business Accountant to join our team.

We are looking for an individual with strong analytical and communication skills to provide expert business and finance knowledge and advice to clinical and operational staff to help ensure long term financial stability and viability.

Main duties of the job

You will work closely with the Unplanned Care Group playing a significant role in supporting delivery of the Trust's objectives in providing a high quality and patient focused finance service including assisting in managing budgets, planning service developments, identifying and achieving CIP targets and supporting revenue requests. We are keen to support innovation and build upon recent initiatives such as Working Day 1 and using Power BI dashboards.

You will be a team player with a keen eye for detail. You will be proficient in influencing others, have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly and concisely at all levels.

You will be a fully qualified CCAB accountant.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for providing sound financial advice and information to the Care Group Management Team and a number of Clinical Business Unit’s and ensuring that accurate and timely financial information is provided when required and within pre agreed departmental timeframes. The post holder will liaise with senior management teams to ensure satisfactory completion of financial performance reports, analysing and interpreting complex information where necessary. The post holder will be part of the Care Group senior management team in making decisions affecting service delivery. The post holder will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies which facilitate the achievement of the Trust’s business objectives and statutory duties.
