The Ambulance Radio Programme (ARP) delivers crucial technological systems to the Ambulance Trusts across the UK to ensure effective communications between Ambulance Trusts, the NHS, and other emergency responders.
This is an exciting opportunity to join ARP as a security expert, ensuring security controls and protection is in place on the communication infrastructures relating to Ambulance Service. This is a highly complex programme and the scope includes the supply of critical applications, devices and network connectivity to the 13 Ambulance services across England, Wales and Scotland.
Working as part of the Information Security Team under the Information Security Manager the post holder will be responsible for the development and assurance activities relating to processes of CRS, MDVS and other related programmes.
The post holder will be responsible for all security elements involved in planning, design, options appraisal, testing and delivery of ESMCP and ARP products.
The post holder will investigate the latest security development of emerging technologies advise accordingly of risks, issues and opportunities relating to the Emergency services context.
Responsible for the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities in the services provided by ARP. This includes working with suppliers, trusts and project teams to understand and communicate information security risks.
Of particular importance is the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with other service management and technical disciplines, suppliers, users across the Ambulance Trusts and emergency services, the wider NHS and managing the conflicting demands and tensions of a range of stakeholders.
The role involves working with multiple stakeholders including Senior Managers across the NHS and other emergency service organisations.
