Job overview

Barking and Dagenham has exciting opportunities for a number of Band 6 Health Visitors. If you are a qualified Health Visitor  we would like to hear from you. We are looking to recruit motivated practitioners with initiative and drive who are  keen to contribute to the further development of our service. We work in close collaboration with Children Centre’s as well as other agencies to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities for children, young people and their families in our borough.

Main duties of the job

For newly qualified practitioners, we have a Preceptorship Programme in place to aid your development. We also offer a wide range of ‘in-house’ and other training opportunities for continuous professional development through our learning and development department as well as clinical supervision and mentorship. You will need to have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team. You need to have excellent communication skills and experience of working in partnership across organisational boundaries. You need to be willing to facilitate and support change in service delivery.
