A vacancy for an enthusiastic administrator has become available in ESNEFT Registration Authority Service.
We have one post available which will involve working across Ipswich Hospital and Colchester General Hospital depending on the needs of the service (although you may be expected to travel occasionally to other sites within the ESNEFT organisation) during the service's operating hours (Monday to Friday between 08:00 -17:00).
The vacancy requires you to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and a good background in IT or administration services to ensure the success of the Trust's Registration Authority (RA) and Smartcard services.
Dedication to good customer service and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, customer facing environment is also required.

Main duties of the job
As a Registration Authority Administrator, you will:
- Be the first point of contact for smartcard and access queries at the organisation.
- Provide telephone and face to face support regarding smartcards and access to end users.
- Log and manage support calls for assistance within the Trust's call logging package.
- Book appointments for users to register for, renew or unlock their smartcards and carry out the appointment on site.
- Verifying the identity of applicants to allow them to register for an NHS Care Identity (smartcard) using national identity check standards.
- Ensuring there is a readily available stock of smartcards and printer ribbons and maintaining the RA equipment.
- Work alongside the Role-Based Access Control administrators to assist end users in receiving the correct access in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with the IT Service Desk, Clinical Systems Team and the rest of IT services to provide end users with excellent customer service experience.
- Using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams proficiently.
