An opportunity has arisen for the role of band 8a Professional Clinical Lead Speech and Language Therapy at Worcester Royal Hospital.
The post is based from Worcester Royal Hospital and has a clinical and operational lead component to support the Departmental 8b SLT and Dietetics Manager in the day to day running and development of service provision.
To work closely with Band 7 SLTs and SLT/ Dietetic manager to ensure safe and effective SLT services within Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust
To act as an advanced level SLT in head and neck cancer
To be the professional clinical lead for Speech and Language Therapy in Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust.
The post holder will provide Trust wide professional and clinical leadership for Speech and Language Therapy.
The post holder will be responsible for the production and implementation of all Trust policies and clinical guidelines for the delivery of a Speech and Language Therapy service in conjunction with the service manager.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring safe and effective Speech and Language Therapy services across sites in conjunction with the service manager.
The post holder will be responsible for an effective evidence based service and will provide clinical and professional guidance regarding all Speech and Language Therapy issues.
