We are looking for an experienced developer to join our innovative data and analytics team within the NHS. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing core NHS datasets and data pipelines, ensuring that reliable and insightful data is available to support decision-making and improve patient care.
Working with SQL Server tools and Python, among other technologies, you will build efficient queries, stored procedures, and data integrations. You will collaborate with teams across the trust to provide data solutions that streamline processes and enable high-quality reporting and analytics.

This role encompasses both operational and strategic responsibilities, with a focus on data management, analysis, and system improvement. It involves supporting the department in implementing local and national information strategies, while playing a key role in developing the trust’s data warehouse using advanced SQL and Python for data manipulation.
The role includes responding to internal and external data queries, facilitating data flow to key financial systems like SLAM, and ensuring the accurate delivery of commissioning datasets to SUS. The developer will also be responsible for developing and maintaining Python-based WebApps and APIs, while embracing new technologies to enhance data delivery and analysis across the trust.
Additionally, they serve as an expert in critical healthcare applications and data interrogation tools, ensuring the continuity of critical operational reports and advising on data quality improvements across the trust.
