The post holder will join the Whole Family Service, which is comprised of two teams, the Whole Family Team with Perinatal Specialist (WFT-P) and the Whole Family Team (WFT). The WFT-P is a highly specialist service offering psychological therapy to families during pregnancy and with babies, toddlers and children up to the age of 5 years. The WFT-P is based in Camden’s Children’s Centres working closely with other early years professionals including, family support, social work and health visiting. The WFT works alongside Camden Children’s Services and sees families with children over 5 years where there is at least one other service involved. The WFT is based with local authority teams such as social services, alternative education provision, youth justice and early help. The teams offer both direct assessments, interventions and consultation to other professionals and comprise of Psychology, Systemic Family Therapy, Child Psychotherapy and Psychiatry.
This is a senior post in the team and the post holder will be expected to work closely with the team clinical leads and psychiatrists to ensure that high standards of care are provided to patients.
The post holder would be expected to spend half of their time in both teams as part of the senior management team, supporting the team clinical lead to deliver a high standard of clinical care.
The post holder will be based between Camden Children’s Centres and 5 Pancras Square, the local authority head office. They will act as a positive role model and participate in the education, development and mentorship of other staff.
They will hold a complex case load, supervise trainees and more junior staff, support and help to develop quality improvement projects in the teams, provide consultation to local authority staff and take a lead in liaising with our partner agencies.
