Applications are invited for the post of Urology Pelvic Robotic Fellow based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Foundation NHS Trust aimed at post CCT level trainees in preparation for consultant applications.
The post holder will have an initial 12 month in the Urology department to develop robotic skills.
The Department of Urology in Exeter have had a robotic programme for 12 years, providing a full compliment of procedures including radical cystectomy with reconstructive urinary diversion, radical prostatectomy, radical nephrectomy, partial nephrectomy and pyeloplasty. There are 4 dedicated Surgical Care Practitioners who assist in robotic surgery enabling a constant assistant to allow good quality training. To date we have performed over 3500 procedures and perform in excess of 60 cystectomies and 150 robotic prostatectomies a year.
