Main duties of the job

To provide high quality nail care including, cutting and filing.

To use the scalpel after appropriate training and apply uncomplicated dressings and provide foot care advice to all patients referred to the service and assessed by a podiatrist to be suitable for Podiatry assistant practitioner input.

To assist during nail surgery sessions and support the Podiatrist in ensuring that Nail surgery appointments are booked and that essential referral & consent forms are completed appropriately.

Support the Podiatry team in gathering patient outcome information using Pascom 10 following Nail Surgery.

Provide and promote holistic patient/person-centred care and support, demonstrating duty of care and safeguarding of individuals.

Demonstrate competence in a range of relevant technical and administrative procedures relevant to their role boundaries and scope of practice.
