Job summary

There is an excellent permanent opportunity to work within the Data Quality Assurance department within South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust.

The role requires comprehensive, high quality secretarial support to the Head of Service and senior team members of the Department. The successful candidate will co-ordinate secretarial services, including preparation of agendas and papers, minute taking, taking follow up action as required, diary management, drafting reports and correspondence and supporting in smooth running of the department.

The post holder is expected to work autonomously, be proactive and exercise personal initiative and judgment in an efficient manner and can build and maintain good working relationships with all stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will be to provide comprehensive administrative support across the Department. The candidate will need to have excellent organisation and communication skills with knowledge of diary management and meeting support including preparing agendas and papers within required timescales. Excellent attention to details and accuracy is essential for this role.

Experience of working with computer packages including Word, Outlook/Emails, Excel, PowerPoint etc is essential along with experience of managing own workloads and working autonomously

The role is part-time working 28.5 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, days are negotiable and there will also be an opportunity for the role to work agile or office based.
