PCN Pharmacy Technician

Job overview

Central North Leeds Primary Care Network (PCN) are looking to expand their pharmacy team, working at the heart of the PCN to deliver excellent pharmacy-led services to our population. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic pharmacy technician to join our established team, to work alongside and provide complementary skills to our existing clinical teams, whilst building strong effective working relationships to improve care and services to our patients.

We will support you to develop your role, including enrolment on the Primary Care Pharmacy Education Pathway from CPPE. Peer support will be provided by pharmacy colleagues within the PCN and the Leeds pharmacy network.

Applications are welcome from pharmacy technicians with patient-facing experience from any sector. An evidenced interest in working in general practice is essential.

Main duties of the job

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to:

Work with practices enabling them to develop and apply systems for safer prescribingDevelop good relationships between local community pharmacies and the PCN pharmacy teamDevelop and deliver medicines-related training for primary care colleaguesDeal with management of medicines on transfer of careConnect and communicate well with people who take medications, keeping them at the heart of the service you offer and enabling them to understand and manage their condition and their medicines effectively for themselvesAddress health inequalities and proactively reach people from all communities
