Job summary

Were a community healthcare provider working across the North West and we have an exciting opportunity for Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our team. The post is based within the Child Development Centre, Sandy Lane, Warrington.

We are a community-based team, working with children and young people up to 18 years and 11 months, with a range of physical and developmental conditions, complex needs and functional difficulties. We work in a variety of settings, including purpose-built health centres, mainstream and SEN schools and nurseries, and childrens homes.

Job Purpose:

To provide specialist physiotherapeutic assessment, treatment and management of children 0-18 years 11 months presenting with a wide range of neurological, respiratory and orthopaedic conditions in a variety of settings.

To train, supervise and clinically support junior staff, therapy assistants and students.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic HPCP registered Physiotherapist with excellent communication skills, a keen interest and experience in paediatrics and a willingness to develop skills in this specialist area. You will need to be a team player and work collaboratively with a supportive and integrated therapy team. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to apply theory to practice in relation to current evidence.

You will be provided with support to develop paediatric physiotherapy assessment and treatment skills and receive regular support and supervision. You will be required to participate in ongoing service development and progression and contribute to training to the wider health and education MDT. Multidisciplinary and multi-agency working is a major part of the job and allows the team to provide person centred, safe and joined up care. We contribute fully to the SEND agenda and enjoy good relationships with our local authority colleagues, wider MDT and local parent groups.
