An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operational Manager to support the General Manager in driving forward operational performance and quality within the Care Group. We are seeking a talented, dynamic individual with excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and a flexible approach to join our team.
The post holder will undertake a wide range of duties working with the General Manager, Matrons and other senior members of the team to successfully meet a broad range of objectives and targets. The post holder will support specific projects, assist in developing business plans and working closely with the departmental heads to ensure the delivery of national and local targets and initiatives to support efficient delivery of high quality service.
The ability to be able to be self directed and as part of a team is important.
The Operational Manager will co-ordinate a range of clinical services within a strong governance framework, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and across departments.
They will delevop links with other health and social care staff to ensure that services are of a high quality, efficient, effective and fit for purpose, whilst meeting financial and performance targets
As a key member of the Care Groups senior team they will promote and develop a culture of continuous learning, development and service improvement, ensuring that quality and safety standards are met.
They will be a role model, demonstrating strong leadership behaviours and competencies to drive operational quality improvement
They will represent the service at a variety of forums and deputise for the General Manager as required.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
