We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Brent Children’s and Young People’s Occupational Therapy Team.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant to work  part time.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with children and developing new skills. The post involves a combination of clinical and administrative duties and the post holder will assist Occupational Therapists in delivering a service across clinics, schools, and nurseries. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be working with children who have occupational therapy needs as well as liaising with a range of education staff in schools.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will:

• Support the work of Occupational Therapists by providing regular and ongoing therapy to children, with support and supervision.
• Collaborate and regularly report back to the therapist to ensure that children receive the best care and treatment to maximise their potential.
• Develop, prepare and maintain therapy resources and handouts.
• Provide some administrative support to therapists for their clinical work and for related activities such as prepare materials, photocopying and filing
