Would you like to be part of an adolescent mental health service which is innovative, forward-thinking and committed to enabling young people who are experiencing mental health difficulties to recover and discover their potential? We are seeking to appoint a Senior Team Leader with caring, compassionate nature, who is innovative, creative, flexible and highly motivated. Primarily you will undertake specialist access mental health assessments (including clinical risk) with clinical and crisis interventions for young people presenting with acute and severe mental health episodes in critical situations.
To provide a specialist role in the co-ordination of care for young people and their families, who are residing in CAMHS Tier 4 placements out of the Lancashire/South Cumbria area. Also, be aware of the national demand for CAMHS inpatient beds and reliably inform internal staff of any out of area admissions/need for specialist out of area beds.
You should be an excellent communicator and team player, with the successful applicant joining a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of professionals working in a brand new specialist residential service in Heysham, Morecambe. Young people’s mental health is a specialist field that will provide you with a highly challenging and very rewarding career. Regular clinical supervision and support will be provided. The service is committed to young people’s participation in decision making and we would expect applicants to support collaborative working with young people. The selection and appointment process will involve Young People who have experience of using CAMHS services. Please note: This post is subject to an enhanced DBS Clearance. As part of the pre-employment checks, successful candidates will be required to pay for their own DBS check at a cost of £50. Deductions will be taken from the first 3 months’ salary.
