An interesting post has become available within our Neonatal education Team for a dynamic, organised person to coordinate the Newborn Life Support Course and Neonatal High Fidelity Simulation Course. The post holder in conjunction with the course Directors will ensure that the courses run efficiently and regularly and our quality standards are met.
The role will require all candidates are provided with all course information, and required resources payments are collected. The role will incorporate advertising for the courses
Leicester is a leading center in providing the NLS courses we therefore need a systematic administrator to provide a full efficient service liaising with Course Directors, internal and external Education leads, candidates, accounts and external companies.
1. To provide a full administrative service to the NLSC and NHSIC this includes:-
· Managing and prioritising own workload on a day to day basis, which requires using own initiative as well as problem-solving skills
· Answering enquiries regarding future courses from internal and external candidates
· Taking bookings and providing application forms and information to the candidates
· Invoicing and collecting payments
· Organisation of venues/resources/catering and equipment required on the day
· Provide day of course administrative support to include candidate registration, marking and invigilating
· Arrange candidate re-tests
· Collate mandatory data and forward to required departments
· Take minutes (if necessary) and provide administrative support throughout the courses, to provide information to certifiable bodies, course facilitators and education departments as required
1. Dealing with all incoming enquiries regarding forthcoming courses. This will require correspondence ensuring that those
2. Responsible for the efficient and effective administration of the clinical office including diary management, room bookings and other administrative arrangements as required.
3. Maintaining files and records according to UHL standards
4. Responsible for the timeliness, accuracy and integrity of the data which is recorded on paper and electronic systems
5. Utilising the medical computer-based information system, providing information for audit as requested by consultant members of staff on a regular basis
6. Reporting any faults pertaining to equipment, e.g., printers and electrical appliances to Facilities and Estates
· To provide support for the academic work including the preparation of course handbooks, attendance lists and registers.
· To receive, collate and distribute all coursework and programmes.
· To maintain details examination papers and assessments To act as the first point of contact to provide advice and help to applicants, liaising with colleagues where necessary.
· To maintain up-to-date marksheets and to provide statistical information on past and present students as and when requested, to input data
· To deal with changes relating to courses including allocating, monitoring and maintaining groups.
· To assist the organisation of the internal and external examination boards, and to take an accurate record of the meetings.
· To assist in the maintenance and updating of databases
· To work closely with applicants, dealing with pre course enquiries via telephone, email and in person.
· To assist with the production of letters and course material to applicants
· To support the successful organisation and running of the courses throughout the year.
