Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic candidate to join our Neonatal Unit in the position of Neonatal Charge Nurse.

The postholder will join an award winning team, reporting directly to our Neonatal Matron who recently won Nursing Manager of the Year at the Nursing Time awards, and will provide expert management and support to our team of Neonatal and Nursery nurses.

This role is offered at full time in the first instance, but we will welcome any applications for part time working.

Main duties of the job

To have joint responsibility with the other Neonatal Unit Charge Nurses and Ward Management team for the operational management and service delivery of the Neonatal Unit and Caring Together Scheme. This includes the line management of all neonatal unit staff; the management and monitoring of resources within a defined budget and the delivery of the Trust’s corporate agenda.
