An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Professional to join us to assist in providing an expert moving and handling/ergonomic service to DPT.
This role will be responsible for the delivery of appropriate and competent moving and handling training (both clinical and non-clinical) to all the mental health services within Devon Partnership Trust.
The post holder with the support of the Moving & Handling/Ergonomics Lead will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of safe, meaningful in a cost effective training to ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees, patients and others who may be involved with, or affected by moving and handling activities
The suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for moving and handling. You will support the learning and development program and roll out alongside the Moving and Handling / Ergonomic Lead a trust-wide bespoke moving & handling training package on a specialist-needs basis with varying patient, with both mental health and physical health conditions, and staff needs.
It is essential that you are able to work autonomously and reliably, be a good organiser, communicator be confident and physically fit enough to perform both clinical and non-clinical moving and handling techniques and equipment demonstrations on a frequent basis.
In this role, you will be actively involved in maintaining and enhancing safety systems and processes and applying and integrating into to various clinical/patient risks to help reduce the risk of harm. Mobility across the organisation is essential as the suitable candidate will be expected to work across the whole trust.
