Mindworks has an exciting opportunity to join our Mental Health Support team as a Senior Wellbeing practitioner (SWP). THE SWP role is a new role within the low intensity workforce, to develop clinical skillset, supervision skills and career progression. These roles are funded by Health Education England (HEE). The successful candidates will be training on the Postgraduate Diploma Senior (CWP/EMHP) Wellbeing Practice (SWP) and carrying out clinical work in our service to complement their studies and use their newly developed skills. The course will be offered at The University of Southampton.
We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic mental health practitioners to work and train within our service. The training post will equip the post-holder to provide interventions for children, young people or families using evidence-based intervention consistent with the course they are attending. The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
The SWP role will be based in Guildford (Base Farnham Road Hospital).
This is an exciting opportunity for qualified CWP/EMHPs, who are two year’s post qualification in January 2025, to develop as a Senior Wellbeing Practitioner and supervisor.
Within the Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs), you will provide evidence-based interventions, mental health promotion and prevention activities to support children, young people, and families accessing Surrey Mindworks. Supporting trainees and newly qualified CWPs/EMHPs through joint working, clinical skills groups, and supervision. Delivering evidence-based 1-1 and group interventions for children, young people and their parents/carers that present with mental health difficulties.
This post comes with a mandatory 2 year parallel Senior Wellbeing Practitioner (SWP) advance clinical skills and supervisor training program at KCL or the University of Southampton, requiring successful completion for this role. The EMHP supervision course is designed to provide the EMHP supervisor with comprehensive training in the knowledge, skills and competencies required to deliver effective clinical supervision as part of the MHST initiative. Applicant criteria include substantive knowledge and experience of wellbeing delivery within education settings and /or CBT / Low Intensity CBT interventions.

Delivering evidence-based 1-1 and group interventions for children, young people and their parents/carers that present with moderate mental health difficulties.
